Perks of Training Barefoot!

Time to get a pedicure not only because summer is coming but training barefoot is the new thing.

Why? You ask? Great question...

1 - Limits Sensory feedback to the brain — shoes add a solid inch of padding in between you and the ground which limits sensory feedback to the brain.

2 - It’s the #1 with connection to the ground. Take off your shoes & dig your toes in. You might just find that your balance improves.

3 - Helps point out weak muscles in your foot, strengthens them & increases balance. "It Hurts!" "That's Hard!" Yeah, that's because when your feet are wrapped up and supported, your muscles don't have to work as hard.

4 - Strong big toe + strong feet muscles + strong ankle = strong knees! OMG, the human body is all one big chain. It's all connected. One weak link and your SOL. Okay, maybe that's dramatic but if I said If you strengthened your big toe you could have healthier knees... would you do it!?

Will you be going barefoot this spring?

  • When I can!

  • Nah, I'll keep my shoes on. Thanks.
